We are seeking a skilled and experienced traveling Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in operation, theory, and service of histology equipment, including tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, slide stainers, coverslippers, slide and cassette printers, etc. As a traveling Field Service Technician, you will provide exceptional service and support to our clients in your specific location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of histology equipment at various customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Provide on-site training and support to customers, ensuring proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, service reports, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the technical oversight team to address complex issues and provide solutions.
  • Travel to customer locations in your area and elsewhere, often on short notice.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with histology equipment, including tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, slide stainers, coverslippers, embedding stations, and slide and cassette printers.
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to varying schedules.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
